Connexions

Connexions is a confidential service for young people age 13-19 (25 if a young person has special needs). If you are pregnant, have a girlfriend who is pregnant, or are a parent already, a personal adviser can offer you the following:

• support if you don't know where to go for help when you think you are pregnant, or if your girlfriend is pregnant

• support to access local services or to return to school/college

• advice and information regarding benefits, housing, free childcare, education, employment, training

• guidance from specialist careers advisers.

A personal adviser will work with you, or you and your partner, in confidence and will be happy to meet you in your home, a local community venue, school/college or Connexions Access Point. Some areas have dedicated personal advisers to work with pregnant couples and young parents:
